My name is Duane, and I live in Stafford, Virginia (located halfway between Richmond, Va and Washington, DC). I work with the Stafford County Public School system in the IT department as a high level network engineer. I recently married Linda, my wife, in March of 2006, at a small, lovely, yet non-religious place called Country Charm Chapel, here in Stafford. It was the perfect place to get married, not being "church" affiliated, yet with a nice small cozy atmosphere.
My hobbies include Computer Networking (which includes seeing how many computers can be squeezed into a 3 bedroom house for two people...), and anything sci-fi-ish, especially Star Trek and Babylon 5. Linda is the sports fanatic of the house, being a big fan of the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers, and University of Michigan football team.

Pictures. We've recently taken up photography as a hobby. Due to hacking attempts, the photo section is offline until I can install a more secure slideshow program on the website.
Hobbies -- other than photography in places outside of Stafford (Michigan, mainly), they don't really seem to exist around here. The only activities, seemingly, around Stafford are shopping malls/stores, restaurants, hotels, and...well... that's it. The only other places to do fun stuff are a 15 mile drive south to Fredericksburg, VA, or a 40 mile ride north to Washington, DC. That about covers the local "entertainment" outlets. With gas prices the way they are, those options don't seem to be ripe for on-the-moment kind of fun. In other words, there really doesn't seem to be much of anything to do!
Instead of going to the movies (when there is actually something that is interesting), we usually wait till those rare, decent movies come out on DVD, and watch them in our home theater. We have a decent collection of movies. It is nice to be able to pause the movie, take a bathroom break, make some own real, non-microwave popcorn in our popcorn machine, then return to the movie, in the comfort of our nice comfy chairs.
Television -- once you go "TiVo" or DVR, you can't go back to watching 'live' TV without kicking and screaming. Once you experience recording a TV show, watch it without commercials, and pause it whenver you like, you can't watch "live" TV anymore. We started with That is the ultimate in convenience. Actually, we have, and still use, UltimateTV. This is Microsoft's version of a DVR for DirecTV subscribers that came out many years ago (in the pre-TiVo days), which still works very well for us. Since then, we have moved onto Directv's HD model which ash worked fine for us for a while.
